I’m special, so special...

Anyone who is a fan of the Pretenders (I’m dating myself here) will remember this song. You may be living it every day. I’m sure your clientele feels they are special and should be treated that way. Sound familiar?

It’s a fact of life if you are serving the affluent consumer that feeling special is part of the package.

Whether it’s the plan to have an individual airport transfer with cool beverages awaiting weary travelers in their limos or having a chilled bottle of a light white wine waiting in their hotel rooms, you want to make the effort to show your clients that you understand their personal needs and their need to feel special. Do you find this is becoming more and more challenging? Are you finding that a welcome gift or private transfer is expected as the norm and you need to reach even higher to achieve that high standard of personal touch?

One of the great things about participating together at Luxury Travel Exchange is that you get the opportunity to hear and share how others in the industry are successfully meeting these challenges. Of course, there are speakers there to share. Beyond that, you have hundreds of colleagues and suppliers surrounding you for three days of sharing and learning.

We are making a special effort this year to place new suppliers in contact with you. They are eager to learn from you and share what they know about the special activities, accommodations and destinations they represent. Whether it’s luxury small group journeys offered by Abercrombie & Kent, including their all-new journeys to Myanmar and the Irrawaddy River aboard the Sanctuary Ananda, or a getaway to the new Parsonage accommodations at well-awarded The Inn at Little Washington; be it global or the USA, you will be fascinated by the new array of suppliers waiting to meet you.

Do you have clients eager to be the first guests at the exciting Baha Mar, the Bahamian Riviera? Come hear all the options when you meet them face to face at LTX. Italy, arguably the world’s most popular destination, is well-represented with several suppliers, including Fantastica Italia, who will be happy to organize off-the-beaten-path vacations for your discerning clientele.

Closer to home, the Naples Marco Island Everglades CVB is eager to keep you up-to-date on the newest developments in the ever-changing affluent landscape across southwest Florida. Since LTX is held in December, you KNOW you will need that information for your clients by January, just in time for snowbird season.

There are so many more new organizations joining us and we hope you do so as well. Join us for three days of education because you, too, are special to us!
