Knowledge Is King

I have a saying that I use a lot: “You don’t know what you don’t know.” As luxury travel advisors your thirst for knowledge is your biggest asset. If you didn’t consume lots of knowledge you wouldn’t be at such a high level of success. You have mastered yourself to complete the difficult bookings. Those that didn’t follow this knowledge consumption path have most likely left the industry. Complex bookings are where your services are needed the most and where the money is.

At Luxury Travel Advisor we are taking our content to a new level in order to keep you on top of your game. Our mission has always been to educate you on the experience of travel. This will continue as always. More and more you need to understand the consumers and what their needs are. You need to look forward at trends, demographics, and buying habits by gender, age and income levels. One could say if you don’t understand your clients’ needs then all that knowledge is worthless. So Luxury Travel Advisor is going to help you understand the consumer. We will complete the successful formula of product knowledge + client knowledge = sales. This will be accomplished through a partnership with MMGY Global, the world’s largest integrated travel marketing firm. MMGY Global/Harrison Group Portrait of American Travelers is one of the most in-depth research pieces in the travel industry. Other pieces of research include Portrait of Digital Travelers and the Affluent Traveler Profile. So together we will guide you with market intelligence that would normally be out of your reach as a travel advisor. Peter Yesawich of MMGY Global will be speaking in our General Session at Luxury Travel Exchange International November 27-29. It is a must-attend event along with your subscription to Luxury Travel Advisor. Together you will know what you need to know to stay ahead of the competition.

See you in Vegas!
