LTX Delegates Gear Up for 2013 Event

Luxury Travel Exchange International (LTX) is back in Las Vegas this year, September 10-12 at The Venetian. New benefits of attending this year include supplier education sessions, tracked seminars and more educational sessions from Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).

The event, which is unlike any other in the industry, features the most qualified travel advisors, effective one-on-one appointments between advisors and suppliers and amazing accredited educational programming.

Key educational tracks include sales and marketing, professional development and the overall service experience. Topics will include upselling and maximizing sales opportunities, customer service best practices and managing your brand.

Delegates will hear from a robust lineup of industry speakers and experts, including Anne Morgan Scully, president of McCabe World Travel, who will discuss making the transition from an agent to a trusted advisor; Scott Koepf, vice president of sales for Avoya Travel, who will share strategies for upselling and maximizing sales opportunities; Jack Mannix, founder and principal of Jack E. Mannix & Associates, who will focus on the fundamentals of customer service; and Douglas Lane, principal of social media solutions at MarketBridge, who will discuss social media influences on travel, measurement metrics for social media progress, tips and best practices for customer acquisition and revenue generation.

More action will take place on the Exchange floor, where business is conducted and advisors have substantial learning and earning opportunities available. The advisor audience, ranging from owners and managers to front-line affiliated and unaffiliated advisors, represents a diverse book of business, allowing all participants to meet solely with prospective partners who share common business interests.

Be sure to visit supplier partners and supporters such as AMResorts, Base Entertainment, Cruise Lines International Association, Ensemble, IATA, Japan National Tourism Organization, Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Bureau, Signature, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, The Travel Institute, Tulalip Resort Casino, and Virtuoso.

As past attendees know, there’s always time for some fun, Vegas-style. LTX delegates will be able to rock their hearts out thanks to our entertainment partner, Base Entertainment, which is supplying tickets for the Tony-nominated Rock of Ages musical during LTX event dates. The rock concert-style show is built around classic rock hits from the 1980s, namely the famous “big hair” glam metal bands of the decade including Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister and Poison, among others.

For attendees who love the Vegas nightlife, people-watching and celebrity sightings, LAVO Italian Restaurant & Nightclub is also on the agenda. With more than 20,000 square feet of space and one of the best views of the city, LAVO will play host to LTX’s popular Luxury After Dark Party right on the Las Vegas Strip.

We look forward to seeing all of you at The Venetian in Las Vegas for the best and most exciting Luxury Travel Exchange ever.
