Luxury Travel Expo returns to Four Diamond property

Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, the 2011 host hotel, is just steps away from all Luxury Travel Expo events. Count on saving up to 57 percent with the show’s discounted rates available exclusively through the housing bureau. As an added bonus, advisors who register and reserve their stay in the block will save $10 on their registration pass.

A few weeks ago I received a call to apply for a delegate position at an event. Like you, I weigh my time away from the office. I calculate my investment in conjunction with how my attendance will not only benefit my business, but allow me to further hone my skills. After hearing the pitch and discussing the educational format with the representative, I thought it was natural to inquire about their list of suppliers. I was informed they shared that information exclusively with registered attendees. I thought that was strange. How can I make a proper decision without knowing who was going to be exhibiting? One of the most important reasons to attend an event is be able to build a network with suppliers you can add as true partners.

Each year we cull feedback from attendees, asking opinions on the show. Questions cover education, networking, suppliers and more. The top two reasons given as to why attendees value Luxury Travel Expo are the strength of the luxury-focused programming and the ability to increase relationships with key suppliers. Sound familiar?

Attendees also reported that business wouldn’t grow and thrive without utilizing supplier resources to plan itineraries for their upscale clientele. Looking for a quaint pensione in Capri? Need a Zen spa in Prague? Want a private sanctuary in West Hollywood? Most likely you contact your favorite sales representative for assistance. Advisors tell us time and again that they create those relationships on the trade show floor at Luxury Travel Expo.

Opportunities Abound

Whatever your clients want, advisors can explore the globe in just two days. Opportunities abound whether on the hunt for a five-star hotel, looking to learn about the latest luxury liner or to join one of the phenomenal consortia in our industry, you can source them at Luxury Travel Expo. Advisors have over seven hours to explore and expand relationships with more than 500 suppliers in the exhibit hall.

I wonder how the marketing event fared. I am curious how well attended it was. Did they have a great event despite the fact that they wouldn’t disclose their supplier list? Not to worry with Luxury Travel Expo. You can go directly to and view a list of suppliers that will be ready to meet you in December. We have a phenomenal roster already confirmed. Don’t see a hotelier or a destination represented? Send me your wish list and we will gladly do everything we can to make sure they will be present at Luxury Travel Expo. See you in Las Vegas!
