AMResorts in November celebrated the opening of the adults-only Secrets Marquis Los Cabos, marking the luxury brand’s entry into Los Cabos, Mexico.
We hear that guests of the resort, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, will enjoy the benefits of Secrets Resorts & Spas’ signature Unlimited-Luxury service (think limitless access to à la carte dining, 24-hour room and concierge service, daytime activities, fitness center access and more).
The property has 235 rooms, from private poolside casitas to oceanfront suites. Dining enthusiasts will love Vista Ballenas, serving local and international dishes; seafood at Dos Mares; and special six-course tasting at Canto del Mar. Coming Soon: We hear the property will soon open Spice for pan-Asian fusion; Coco Café, which will serve pastries, coffee and tea; and Barefoot Grill, which will be casual alfresco dining by the pool.
Two infinity pools overlook the Sea of Cortez. We hear that other daytime activities include weekly theme parties, cocktail parties, ping-pong, beach volleyball, yoga, cooking classes, tequila tastings and more.
After a day of beachside bronzing, be sure to check out the 15,000-square-foot spa, complete with fitness center, steam room and hot tubs overlooking the Sea of Cortez. We hear that the spa has hydrotherapy rooms, a full-service beauty salon and a menu of signature treatments.
While there is no golf course on site, the resort is close to eight premier courses, such as Cabo Real Golf Course, Cabo del Sol, Raven, El Dorado, Palmilla and more. No course is more than half an hour away from the property.
Getting There: The resort is just 20 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport, and a 15-minute drive to San Jose del Cabo.
