Seize the Educational Opportunity

When we begin brainstorming marketing efforts for Luxury Travel Expo, we ensure that our campaign is reflective of what luxury travel advisors need to ensure success in their organization.

With digital continually growing, I am constantly reviewing content, tools and online presence. Last year, we launched the Luxury Travel Expo Connect virtual tool in order to enhance pre-show communication and networking for our audience. This year, we added new web 2.0 tools, namely Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and our Luxury Travel Expo Blog. Launching these efforts took time and research. Bottom line: I educated myself on how to properly leverage these social networking tools.

Education is a necessary ingredient to be successful in any industry. As a luxury travel advisor, you have to make sure your skills are up-to-date in order to provide the best customer service. Imagine sitting with a client and finding out that they know more about a destination or hotelier than you do?

Utilize educational experiences as preperation to make sure you meet your clients’ needs and exceed their expectations. An opportunity to attend industry tradeshows is the perfect venue to build relationships and learn from industry experts.

I, for certain, am going to attend the session covering Facebook and LinkedIn to make sure I am effectively using these tools to market Luxury Travel Expo.
