Hotel Nikol'skaya Kempinski Opens in Moscow

Kempinski Moscow

When a luxury hotel opens in Moscow—the world’s reigning billionaire capital—travelers take notice. Such is the case with the new Hotel Nikol'skaya Kempinski, which recently celebrated its Grand Opening on Lubyanka Square in central Moscow. A six-year renovation project merged several adjacent historic buildings not far from Red Square, the Kremlin, and the Bolshoi Theatre. Opulent interiors by the Leo International Design Group conjure the Belle Epoque.

In total, there are 211 rooms and suites, appointed with marble, crystal, and gilded wood. Served by butler service, the two Presidential Suites are like private apartments in some of the best real estate in town. There are five restaurants and bars (including a cigar club), expansive conference facilities, a fitness center, a beautiful indoor pool with columns and a ceiling fresco of the cloud-filled sky, and a spa by L. Raphael, the first outpost for the exclusive Geneva brand.

This is the Kempinski Group’s second hotel in the Russian capital, and rates start at around $400 per night. For more information, visit www.kempinski.com/en/moscow/hotel-nikolskaya-kempinski/welcome.
