Saveur Magazine Names Uniworld "Best Culinary Cruise Line"

Good news for foodies on the high seas: Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection received the Readers' Choice Award for "Best Culinary Cruise Line" in the 2014 Saveur Culinary Travel Awards, as chosen by the magazine’s audience of 1.6 million food and travel enthusiasts.

Uniworld’s chefs will explore farmers’ markets in different ports of call, selecting locally grown produce, and create meals inspired by regional cuisine. Good for oenophiles: The company’s wine list includes some top vintages.

Shore excursions often highlight local experts and artisans—such as chefs, bakers, cheese makers and chocolatiers. On different tours, guests can make their own pasta in Italy, sample foods made with saffron grown along the Danube, and watch cheese being made in the Netherlands.
