Scotland just got a whole lot cuter: The Telegraph is reporting that two pandas, Yang Guang and Tian Tian (which means Sweetie), were delivered to the Edinburgh Zoo from China's Sichuan province on Sunday.
The eight-year-old pair are Britain's first couple of breeding pandas in 17 years. They are part of global giant panda conservation program that is designed to increase the population, and will spend two weeks alone in their enclosure so they can settle in. (Visitors can see them as of December 16.) If your clients won't be getting to Edinburgh for a little while, don't worry: Yang Guang and Tian Tian will remain in Scotland for 10 years, after which they (and any young they have) will return to China.
Visitors will need to pre-book tickets to see the pandas, so make those arrangements for your clients now. (Important: Tickets must be printed before arriving at the zoo. Smartphone tickets won't work! Also, tickets must be purchased by midnight on the day before the visit, and the tickets have to be used on the day selected.)
