After passing its final round of sea trials, Seabourn’s newest vessel Encore will be delivered on November 30.
The trials – three days at sea where a team of officers and engineers test the ship’s technical and mechanical systems – took place of the Italian coast in the Adriatic Sea. The ship, designed by hospitality design icon Adam D. Tihany, left Fincantieri shipyard on November 4 and returned to the Marghera shipyard on the 7th.
The final touches will be put on in the next few weeks.
Encore enters service as part of Seabourn’s Odyssey-class ships, which were introduced in 2009 as the line’s ultra-luxury class. Guests will receive a high ratio of space, with only 600 passengers based on double occupancy at maximum onboard. Additionally, every suite will have a private veranda.
A sister ship, Seabourn Ovation, will join the fleet in 2018. Seabourn is a member of World's Leading Cruise Lines.
