Seabourn Sees Second Successful Season in Antarctica

Seabourn QuestSeabourn, a member of World's Leading Cruise Lines, has completed its second successful season in Antarctica with crew members aboard the Seabourn Quest receiving record guest ratings on its four voyages.

Each voyage of the season included six days of landings and zodiac tours, allowing guests a chance to explore the continent and islands.

The sailings were guided by expedition leader Robin West, and each voyage included an academic program with lectures presented by a world-class expedition team.

During the tours, passengers were able to view killer whales swimming alongside the vessel, as well as humpback whales, elephant seals and 200,000 king penguins.

After a successful 2014-2015 season, the line is preparing for its 2015-2016 Antarctic winter voyages.

The ship will return to Antarctica on Nov. 29, 2015, with a series of four 21- to 24-day sailings between Valparaíso, (Santiago) Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Each cruise will travel along Beagle Channel, Glacier Alley, Torres del Paine National Park, the Falkland/Malvinas Islands, Montevideo and include six days of landings on the Antarctic Continent.
