This month, Singita will reopen Ebony Lodge, a luxury accommodation in the heart of a 45,000 acre game reserve in South Africa. The completely redesigned lodge incorporates the safari landscape into its architecture, furnishings and great room décor.
Each of the 12 brand-new suites have private plunge pools, tent-style interiors, open floor plans and suspended pavilion decks that offer views of the river banks. Suite walls are decorated with oversized sepia photography, artifacts and tribal murals to bring the African vision to life.
Black and white accents decorate the lodge’s great room, a relaxing space providing guests with exceptional views of the Sabi Sand, a marble and cast iron table to dine at and a bar where they can enjoy evening cocktails and nightcaps. The room’s “New Nomad” design, featuring natural sculptures and ebony wood, reflects the spirit of the lodge, where guests can travel in luxury yet stay connected to the nature surrounding them.
