World Cruise Report: Crystal's 2017 Antarctica, South American and Caribbean Segments

crystal serenityCrystal Cruises is offering six abbreviated segments available to sail on its 2017 World Cruise. The segments, ranging from 10-23 days and each featuring at least one overnight stay, include offerings in South America and the Caribbean, as well as the first World Cruise visit to Antarctica in 10 years, Crystal said. The 94-day World Cruise sails roundtrip from Miami onboard Crystal Serenity starting January 10, 2017. 

Crystal is also offering extended "Silver Celebration Fares," which offer significant savings off the all-inclusive cruise fares, plus up to $500 "As You Wish" spending credits per stateroom for bookings made by December 30, 2015.

The segments are:

January 11 (11 days) – From Miami to Colon, Panama, the cruise explores the many ancient Mayan ruins sites in ports along Mexico's coast, plus the coral reefs of Honduras and jungles of Costa Rica.

January 23 (20 days) – After an overnight in Colon, Panama, the ship transits through the canal en route to Ecuador before continuing to several Peruvian ports (including two maiden calls) and concluding with four days in Chile highlighted by a three-night inclusive exploration of Machu Picchu.

February 8 (23 days) – Guests begin with an inclusive pre-cruise three-night Extended Land Program to Machu Picchu and then continue 11 days exploring Chile and Argentina, before cruising Cape Horn, Antarctica, and the Falkland Islands before returning to Uruguay and Argentina.

March 3 (11 days) – This sailing visits Argentina and Uruguay, plus seven nights in Brazil, with overnight stays in Buenos Aires, Buzios and Rio de Janeiro. The journey begins with an inclusive two-night, pre-cruise Extended Land Program at Iguazu Falls.

March 14 (22 days) – The Brazilian itinerary also begins with an inclusive two-night, pre-cruise Extended Land Program at Iguazu Falls, and spends 16 days amidst Brazil's architecture, waterways and monuments. This sailing also calls at Devil's Island, Granada and Barbados.

April 5 (10 days) – The final segment of the full World Cruise departs Barbados after an overnight stay, then sails to St. Lucia, Martinique, St. Barts, Samana, Grand Turk and Key West, before concluding in Miami.

Crystal's 2017 "Southern Celebracion" World Cruise segments are available for booking now, with fares in most categories starting at $3,865 per person when booked by December 30. Complimentary extended land program is available to guests sailing in Deluxe Stateroom with Verandah and Penthouse category accommodations only. The all-inclusive full World Cruise fares begin at $35,340 per person when also booked by December 30 and include special onboard programs, two exclusive shoreside events, and $1,000 As You Wish Shipboard Credit.
