Sneak Peek: The Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca

Early next year, Four Seasons will open a new property in Casablanca, Morocco. The Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca will be part of Anfa Place, a luxury mixed use development overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and located near the upscale Corniche District. The new waterfront community, situated on the city’s elevated promenade, will include residential, commercial and retail space.

As an urban hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca will use local materials in its design. The entire master plan covers 25 acres.  We hear the hotel will have top westward views of the Atlantic Ocean (and, of course, the sunset).

The hotel is expected to have 186 rooms, and will reach out to both leisure and business travelers. An interior and exterior dining area will overlook the ocean, along with a lobby lounge and poolside dining.

In addition, the hotel will have a full-service spa with progressive western and local therapies. (Naturally, there will also be a pool.) For meetings and events, guests will be able to use a ballroom that has been described as "lavish" and several meeting rooms.

Olivier Thomas has been appointed the property’s general manager.  A 20-year hospitality industry veteran, Thomas was previously Hotel Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Prague and joined Four Seasons in 2008 in Amman. In August, Thomas will make the transition to Casablanca to lead the pre-opening team as the Hotel prepares to welcome guests to Morocco’s economic hub in the first quarter of 2015.
