Soneva In Aqua, a new concept from the Soneva Group, is slated to be launched at Soneva Fushi in the Maldives in January 2014. Soneva In Aqua is eyed to elevate guest experience by offering the option of a boat villa.
The luxury yacht measures 19.25 meters in length and 6.40 meters wide, with a cruising speed of six knots. While supported by engine power, the yacht’s mainsail will rely on nature to provide the majority of its energy. The boat has a maximum occupancy of four guests to provide the sense of exclusivity and privacy while offering international standards.
The two-cabin boat features a master suite with a sunken glass bath and shower facilities. The second cabin offers a king-sized bed and en-suite facilities. Other features include an external raised sun and dining deck, a lower level bar and dining area, plus daybeds, lounge seating and a Jacuzzi. Additional sun deck space is also available on a lower level for spa treatments and an internal library, lounge and dining room provide additional areas ideal for entertaining.
The design features natural materials, such as rich brown leathers, woods and organic cottons. Soneva in Aqua has been built with environmentally zero emission materials, and all equipment including engines and generators are to the highest specification with regards to fuel saving efficiency.
Soneva In Aqua will offer guests opportunities to cruise locations in the Maldives.
Soneva In Aqua provides guests with both indoor and outdoor dining experiences. Menus will be designed by the Soneva resort executive chefs using local produce and where possible produce grown at the resort. Spa treatments and wellness activities are available on board administered by Six Senses Spa therapist. Guests whose interest lies in diving are offered day, night and sunrise dives, with the possibility to dive twice during the day. Snorkeling is also available with presentations on the underwater ecology and environmental awareness. Sailing lessons, including map reading, are also given to guests interested to learn.
The crew on board includes the captain, Sous Chef, Mr Friday, dive instructor and a housekeeper.
Soneva In Aqua is managed by The Soneva Group and will incorporate the same brand values and personal service promised in the Soneva resorts.
