Sotheby's to Auction el Bulli's Wine Cellar

Sotheby's Wine AuctionThe world’s foodies have been lamenting the loss of el Bulli, Ferran Adrià’s celebrated Catalan restaurant, since it closed its doors last year. Oft hailed as the best restaurant in the world, el Bulli is now morphing into the elBullifoundation, an experimental space that will document culinary evolution by assembling a creative cooking archive called BulliPedia.

News: Sotheby’s will be auctioning off the incredible el Bulli wine cellar on April 3 in Hong Kong and April 26 in New York, so collectors can grab a piece of el Bulli’s remarkable history. Indeed, some of the bottles were labeled exclusively for el Bulli. The much-anticipated auction will offer 8,807 bottles, including three bottles of rare Romanée-Conti (1990), expected to fetch between $32,500 and $47,500.
