Earlier this month, we noted that the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel had announced its seasonal opening party for Saturday, May 24, but that the line-up for the party and the program of events for the season was still a secret.
But we have some buzz! Today, the hotel announced the lineup for the May party, and it sounds like it will be an impressive event.

Headlining at this year’s opening party is German live act and techno star Paul Kalkbrenner, a co-creator of the track ‘Sky and Sand’ and chart-topping album ‘Guten Tag.’ Kalkbrenner uses synthesizers, MIDI controllers and drum machines to create his sound.
DJ/Producer Sasha has already hosted daytime parties for the past four summers, starting off on the beach of Playa d’en Bossa in 2010 prior to the opening of Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel. The artist was, in fact, among the first resident DJs at The Tower, which opened last year next to The Ushuaïa Club. He will join Kalkbrenner for the 2014 opening party.
Also returning to Playa d’en Bossa are Nic Fancciulli, Deetron, Los Soruba and Tapesh, who appeared as part of the 2013 sell-out ANTS party, which launched for the first time last summer.
Completing the lineup are rising DJ talents Andrea Oliva and Uner, who return to the Ushuaïa stage after appearing last year.
