Marcel Stittner
General Manager,
Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa, Costa Rica

The worst thing for me as a general manager is to see the hotel/resort empty…like a ghost town. Never in my 12 years of knowing such a beautiful and magical property like Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa has it been empty. For sure, these are scary times but we are confident that better times are ahead, for us and the rest of the world.

The Costa Rican government wants to keep people at home to stay safe, which means the closure of all hotels in the country. We are following the instructions of the government.

During this time, we are working on several projects, the most important is partially switching to solar energy as part of our sustainability program, along with improving some areas to enhance guest experience.
