A chic new hotel is arriving on the Caribbean island of St. Barts just in time for the high season. Maisons et Hôtels Sibuet—the family-owned luxury hospitality group behind Les Fermes de Marie in Megève and the Villa Marie in St. Tropez—will be opening the second Villa Marie in the Caribbean in December.
Located on the west side of the island overlooking Flamands beach, the five-star Villa Marie will comprise 22 bungalows with terraces and two villas. There will also be a Pure Altitude spa (the Sibuet signature), a restaurant, and an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush tropical gardens.
This new luxury hotel is a conversion of the former Hotel François Plantation, an old colonial house purchased and renovated by the Sibuet family. The Francois Plantation is a well known restaurant on St. Bart’s, and the new hotel will continue to host a gastronomic destination with sophisticated French cuisine. The bar promises to serve one of the best selections of rums on the island, along with fine cigars.
