The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort has announced the launch of its new Be Here, Be Now meditation experience.
The new offering, created in partnership with Michael Miller, director of New York Meditation Center and London Meditation Centre, allows guests access to meditation expertise and provides them with guidance to “connect with the property’s peaceful, stunning and natural surroundings to achieve ultimate relaxation.”
The resort, located on a former coconut plantation situated between the El Yunque Rainforest and Espiritu River, is Puerto Rico’s first and only certified Gold Audubon International Signature Sanctuary.
For the Be Here, Be Now experience, Miller demonstrates techniques that guests can practice to further relax and settle their mind during their stay. The program’s introduction suggests guidelines such as turning off mobile device, along with exercises that activate the senses and release physical stress. Be Here, Be Now can also supplement a regular meditation practice or act as an introduction for guests who have not yet learned to meditate.
Guests will use sites ranging from a hidden area along a nature trail to a spot on the beach overlooking the ocean. (Yeah, we think it sounds peaceful too.) Tip: These spots are noted on the resort’s property map and are also marked with a plaque so guests can easily locate them at their convenience.
Miller comes from a diverse business background, having worked in entertainment, education and publishing companies. He is now recognized as one of the world’s foremost experts in Vedic Meditation, working with top executives, high-level performers and entrepreneurs.
