St. Regis Istanbul to Open in March

The St. Regis Istanbul is scheduled to make its debut in March 2015.

The hotel will be located in the Nisantasi district, near high-end shops including Tom Ford’s flagship boutique, D&G and Jean Paul Gaultier, as well as expansive dining, art and entertainment options, Macka Park, the city center, and the Bosporus. Designed by award-winning Turkish architect Emre Arolat, the hotel, with its 118 rooms, 18 suites, and 4 presidential suites, aims to channel the glamour and spirit of 1920s Turkey while incorporating a variety of contemporary art installations, including the Demsa Collection of Art.

Overlooking the two-story lobby is the Mezzanine Level, which houses the hotel’s library, which features a special collection of books that detail the story of the hotel’s design, surroundings and the history of the St. Regis brand. The space will also have a modern, glass Lasvit chandelier and sweeping views of Macka Park.

The Bentley Suite is one of the property’s bespoke accommodations, which was created in partnership with its namesake automobile brand and draws inspiration from the Bentley Continental car model. The room has mirrored ceilings, a marble floor inset with details that reflect the Continental’s wheel design, a commissioned light installation based on the Adenauer Forest section of the Nuremberg Track in Germany (the site of the Grand Prix and where Bentleys are test-driven), a rug printed with an abstract motif of the automobile’s grille, large windows and a Bentley leather built-in sofa.

Multiple dining options are available on the premises, including Wolfgang Puck’s Spago Istanbul, a wine cellar and ground-level dining at the St. Regis Bar and Brasserie.

The Iridium Spa will feature three small treatment pools, seven massage rooms and will offer hammam rituals.

Meeting space for gatherings and group events is equipped with state-of-the-art conference technology across 11 rooms.
