Stafford London Launches "Saturday Salons"

stafford londonLiterati have a new reason to visit London: The Stafford London is rolling out a series of monthly afternoon tea events aimed at book lovers, dubbed "Stafford Saturday Salons."

At the events, which will be hosted by Times and Observer newspaper interviewer and published author Liz Hoggard, various authors will present their latest book before a Q&A. The event is aimed at providing attendees with accounts of the writing process behind each book, as well as the opportunity to purchase a signed copy. Each event takes place in the hotel's Sutherland Room and include afternoon tea, cakes and finger sandwiches and a glass of champagne. 

The first salon begins Saturday, June 13, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Andrew Wilson, Alexander McQueen's biographer, whose new book, "Alexander McQueen: Blood Beneath the Skin" is now available. 

Further events will run July 25, August 22, September 19, October 3 and November 14. The events are open to hotel guests and the general public, with tickets priced at £15.00 per person.
