Sunsail Opens New Mediterranean Destination

Sunsail has announced the slated opening of a new yacht charter base in Palma on the island of Mallorca in May. This new sailing destination will offer Bareboat and Skippered Yacht Charters and is for cruising the nearby Balearic Islands of Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera.

The new Sunsail base in Palma is situated at the Marina Naviera Balear in Palma Harbour, just a short walk to the old town of Palma, which has an array of architecture including the stunning Cathedral. Mallorca has many bustling fishing ports such as Andraitx, Soller, Porto Cristo, Cala d'Or or Puerto Deportivo as well as several golden beaches and bays, ideal for anchoring overnight.

The Sunsail Palma fleet will initially consist of the Sunsail 47 and the new Sunsail 444 catamaran, allowing guests the choice of a monohull or catamaran for their charter. A new yacht, the Sunsail 47 is an offshore cruiser. This yacht offers a high quality cruising experience and is available with four-cabin/four-head accommodation in the Mediterranean. A Robertson and Caine design, the new Sunsail 444 has a unique forward cockpit with direct access from the saloon. It boasts: increased visibility, ventilation and increased living space, folding table and covered seating in the forward cockpit, as well as providing cooling breezes into the saloon and aft cockpit.
