Grand Residences Rivera Cancun will give guests smart devices to use at the resort in 2015.

Guests will be able to use smart bracelets to charge items to their room account. The bracelet will also serve as a key to allow users to enter their floor and personal room. Tablets will also be given to guests who enroll their children in the teen's or kid’s club. The tablet will stream secure, live feeds from the club’s webcam, so parents can check in on their kids.

“As a new luxury resort catering to in-the-know and highly discerning clientele, who are often early adopters of technology, we knew we had to be at the forefront of emerging travel tech trends,” said Carlo Bicaci, general manager.

However, the resort doesn’t want to hand over too much control to technology. All check-in and checkout services will be done with a live employee.
