Singapore-based COMO Hotels and Resorts will open their 10th property in the first quarter of 2013. Located on the northeast coast of the isle of Phuket, Point Yamu by COMO will have 109 rooms, including 30 private villas, overlooking the private beach and the turquoise Andaman Sea. Easily reached from the hotel: both the Phuket International Airport (20 minutes drive), and the dramatic limestone islands of Phang Nga Bay. The contemporary interiors are by Italian designer Paola Navone. Think blues and oranges inspired by both the sea and Thailand’s Buddhist monks.
