Thompson Chicago is launching its City Summer Camp to kick off the summer season. Starting June 15, hotel “Camp Counselors” will coordinate personalized itineraries for guests. Guests can choose from a range of family-friendly activities, including tours of Chicago and adventures on Lake Michigan.
The hotel will offer a variety of local cuisine-inspired itineraries, such as the Green City Farmer’s Market tour, Ice Cream Crawls, summer Thompson picnics, and distillery tours that give guests a chance to explore Chicago’s epicurean scene. A Nico Osteria chef will guide guests through the Green City Farmer’s Market, highlighting local produce. Later, guests will dine at Nico Osteria and experience a farm-to-table menu. Guests can also discover Chicago through Ice Cream Crawls organized by their Camp Counselor and indulge in sweets from some of the best independent ice cream stores in the city. Thompson is also offering personalized family picnics for guests relaxing at Movies in the Park, viewing the Fireworks at Navy Pier, or listening to an outdoor concert at the Jazz Pritzker Pavilion. Guests can also arrange for a personalized, backstage tour of CH Distillery, Chicago’s only distillery, which ends at CH bar.
The hotel will also offer athletic activities, such as private paddle boarding lessons on Lake Michigan, lakefront cruising with Divvy bike share, private tennis or golf lessons, and themed tours through Kayak Chicago.
Thompson’s City Summer Camp is available for bookings through August 31, 2015. Rates start at $269.
