A number of hotels have recently announced the openings of brand new properties all over the globe. From a new Rosewood Hotel in Edinburgh to a Bentley Lodge nestled in the Austrian Alps, here’s a look at the latest happenings, and a sneak peek at what’s to come. 

Rosewood Edinburgh Slated to Open in 2018

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts just announced that it plans to open the Rosewood Edinburgh, the company’s 4th property in Europe, in 2018. 

The hotel will be situated on Carlton Hill on the site of the former Royal High School, a historic, landmark building within the Scottish capital designed by architect Thomas Hamilton in 1829. According to Rosewood, the neoclassical structure is widely considered to be one of the best examples of Greek revival architecture.

Scottish architect Gareth Hoskins will be responsible for overseeing the restoration of the building, which has been vacant for nearly 50 years. 

The property will comprise 147 guestrooms, as well as public spaces with panoramic views over Edinburgh. Amenities will include three restaurants and bars, a Sense spa, fitness center and indoor swimming pool, as well as event spaces, meeting rooms and a 3,200-square-foot ballroom. 
 

Mandarin Oriental Headed to Beirut

Mandarin Oriental is scheduled to move into Beirut in 2018 with the opening of a new luxury hotel and branded residences.

Located in two adjacent buildings in Beirut's Central District, Mandarin Oriental, Beirut will be situated in the south tower with 280 contemporary-style guestrooms and suites and 25 serviced apartments. The north tower will house 103 Residences at Mandarin Oriental. 

Singapore-based Kerry Hill will head up the design process. The property will have a bold and elegant style that integrates the different project components of the hotel and the residences, Mandarin Oriental reported. Designs will include the use of local sandstone with shaded private outdoor spaces and colonnades, as well as spacious rooftop terraces.

For dining, Mandarin Oriental, Beirut, will offer an all-day dining restaurant and bar, and a lobby lounge, as well as an extensive club lounge spread across the lower levels of the two towers. A fine dining restaurant and bar will also span across the top of both towers offering views over the city, while various styles of meeting spaces will include a 300-seat grand ballroom, a 270-seat junior ballroom and multiple adaptable conference rooms.

Guests will also have access to the Spa at Mandarin Oriental providing rejuvenating and relaxing treatments, along with a fitness center and indoor pool. An additional outdoor pool will be situated at the top of the building affording spectacular views.

Bentley Lodge Opens As a Winter Playground in Kitzbühel

British luxury auto manufacturer Bentley Motors has been switching gears into the hospitality industry recently. After opening luxury suites at St. Regis hotels in New York and Istanbul, Bentley has now debuted Bentley Lodge Kitzbühel.

Located in the Tyrol region in the Central Eastern Alps, the property aims to provide guests with a vacation experience based on the “Bentley lifestyle,”  and can accommodate eight guests at a time, for either a three-day or full week stay. 

Kitzbühel is well known as a playground for winter sports, and guests will also have access to the facilities at the Kitzbühel Country Club which includes a spa, gym and pools, cigar lounge, private cinema, bars and a fine dining restaurant. 

Guests will also have the chance to experience an exclusive test drive in one of Bentley’s luxury cars, hosted by the company’s “Bentley Boys.” 
Rates start from €780 per night in the low season and up to €1480 per night in the high season, when full week stays are required. 
 

The Alila Seminyak Set to Open This Month in Bali

The highly anticipated debut of The Alila Seminyak will arrive this month, as it is scheduled to open its doors along Bali’s southwest coast. 

The luxury resort is nestled on the beach offering views of the Indian Ocean. It comprises 240 contemporary-style rooms, of which 143 are suites and one 8,700 square-foot rooftop penthouse complete with a private pool.  

The Spa Alila will provide guests with Asian-inspired treatments, while a variety of indoor and outdoor event areas will serve as space for both weddings and business banquets. Other Facilities include six swimming pools, a state-of-the-art gym, a beachfront restaurant and a beach bar. Guests will also have access to a dedicated concierge who can plan activities both at the resort and around Bali.
Encore Three Bedroom Duplex

Villas With a View at Wynn Las Vegas

Wynn Las Vegas and Encore have just announced that the resorts’ apartments and villas are now available for rent. 

The 5,829-square-foot Encore Three Bedroom Duplex includes a private massage and exercise room, as well as a grand living room and dining room that can accommodate 16 guests. The true highlight of the Duplex, however, is the floor-to- ceiling windows affording breathtaking views of Las Vegas. Three-bedroom villa accommodations include butler service, a daily cabana at the Tower Suite pool, and priority reservations at the Wynn Golf Course, restaurants, spas and nightclubs.

In addition, Wynn Fairway Villas offers guests views of the Wynn Golf Course from private balconies. The living room in the villas can accommodate up to eight guests, and meals can be enjoyed in the breakfast nook which includes with a wet bar. One- or two-bedroom arrangements are available, each with two bathrooms. Butler service, daily access to The Spa and fitness center, and priority reservations are also provided.
