American Airlines Launches Online Pre-order Menu for Business/First Passengers

Good news for travelers on American Airlines: Passengers flying first or business class on flights within the continental United States, and to or from Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean will be able to peruse an online menu and select their entree before they board.

Passengers can access the My Trips section of the AA.com website to review menu options and pick a meal. The entrees can be chosen up to 30 days and as close in as 24 hours before departure. (If itineraries change, the entree will have to be selected again.)

The current Celebrity Consulting Chef for American is Richard Sandoval, who has earned several honors including Bon Appetit's prestigious Restaurateur of the Year in 2006 and was named one of the Best Chefs of 2003 by New York Magazine. He has also been honored internationally as Mexican Chef of the Year. His menu, we hear, combines Latin ingredients with "international flavors and inventive culinary techniques." We can't wait to try it!
