Singapore Airlines Launches Wellness Cuisine Aboard Select Flights

Singapore Airlines has announced the launch of specially curated wellness dishes on select flights beginning September 2019. In collaboration with Singapore-based wellness brand COMO Shambhala, the new wellness dishes are aimed at enhancing customers’ holistic wellbeing and travel experience.

Customers can expect a menu of healthy and flavorful dishes tailored to nourish the body and alleviate travel-induced stresses, such as fatigue. Guests can choose from immune-boosting dishes with ingredients rich in antioxidants and micronutrients, such as kiwi, yogurt, beetroot and strawberries, to help increase energy even after a long flight. Other dishes aim to promote good digestion and circulation for a more comfortable journey.

First Class and Business Class customers will be able to enjoy the wellness in-flight menu on selected flights departing Singapore to Hong Kong, Frankfurt, London, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The dishes will also be available for pre-ordering via "Book the Cook" for First Class, Business Class and Premium Economy Class customers on all routes departing Singapore.

In addition to the wellness dishes, Singapore Airlines’ partnership with COMO Shambhala includes wellness articles designed to help travelers learn and practice well-being, whether before, during or after the flight. The articles cover a range of topics such as meditation, breathing techniques for relaxation, and body exercises suitable for periods of prolonged inactivity.

The introduction of co-developed dishes with COMO Shambhala joins Singapore Airlines’ roster of wellness offerings. Singapore Airlines continues to partner with U.S.-based wellness expert Canyon Ranch for wellness initiatives on non-stop Singapore-U.S. flights, including upcoming non-stop flights to Seattle.
