Forbes Travel Guide has announced its 54th annual list of five- and four-star hotels, restaurants and spas.
In addition to the new list, Forbes has launched a new website, Startle.com, which features blog posts that give readers insight into the selection and rating process of the Forbes inspectors.
“Our annual Star Ratings represent the best of the best in hotels, restaurants and spas. They serve as guideposts for discerning consumers who are looking for exceptional travel and hospitality experiences,” said Shane O’Flaherty, president of inspections and ratings for Forbes Travel Guide.
Notable additions this year include The American Club and the Kohler Waters Spa, both in Kohler, WI, which have the distinction of being the first five-star hotel and spa, respectively, in Wisconsin. The Grand Del Mar hotel in San Diego joined its five-star spa and restaruant with its own new five-star rating. The four new five-star restaurants are: The L20 in Chicago, Menton in Boston, Twist by Pierre Gagnaire in Las Vegas and Herons in Cary, NC.
