Turkey’s Aegean coast near Bodrum continues to heat up with hotel openings. Mandarin Oriental debuted a resort last year, Viceroy Bodrum is slated to open in 2017, and Jumeirah recently joined the fray with a new management contract signed with Targets Investment Turizm Isletmeleri. The hotel formerly known as the Golden Savoy will become the Jumeirah Bodrum Palace Hotel starting May 1, 2015.

Located 10 minutes outside the Bodrum city center, the resort complex overlooks the Aegean sea. There are only 135 rooms (all suites and villas) but the facilities are vast in scope: eight restaurants, three bars, a shisha lounge, eight family pools, a Beach Club, a Kids Castle play area, and a Talise spa with 12 treatment rooms and a fitness center.

Jumeirah Bodrum Palace Hotel is helmed by General Manager Mete Atakuman. This is the second hotel for the Jumeirah Group in Turkey, after the Pera Palace in Istanbul. The Group is now comprised of 23 hotels around the world.
