Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts is scheduled to open its newest property in Istanbul, the Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul Golden Horn, on March 31.

Located on the historic Golden Horn waterway in Turkey, the contemporary hotel is 10 minutes away from Old City’s historic sites, and less than 10 miles from Atatürk International Airport.

“We see Turkey as playing a key role in the continued success of our company’s global expansion,” said Jean Gabriel Pérès, president and chief executive officer of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.

The hotel is decorated with Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman maritime themes, including compass designs and interlinking chains, wave wood paneling, white marble, black and white harbor photographs, and historical maps. The carpeting has bold, symmetrical patterns, while furniture is done in a contemporary style.

All guestrooms offer views of the historic city or waterway, and premium guestrooms have private balconies. The hotel’s Golden Horn suite includes a private Jacuzzi on one of its two balconies.

The property’s Pruva Swiss Grill Restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine, as well as Swiss and Turkish specialties. Guests can also visit the Lobby Lounge and Bar, which offers cocktails and light snacks.

The Serenity Wellness Center offers a state-of-the-art fitness center, Turkish Hammam, saunas, a steam room, relaxation zone and massage rooms.

This is Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts’ second property in Istanbul, and its fourth hotel in Turkey.
