Two new luxury hotels are slated for construction on Cape Verde, a 10-island country off the coast of Western Africa.
Meliá Hotels Internacional, Spain’s largest hotel chain, will open an 850-room resort on the island of Boavista.The new resort named Meliá White Sands adds to the company’s hotel offerings in Cape Verde: the Meliá Totuga Beach Resort and Spa and two more resorts under construction called the Meliá Dunas and Meliá Llana. These hotels are developed by The Resort Group, based in the UK.
Oásis Atlântico, the Portuguese hotel group, plans to open the five-star Oásis Salina Seas in spring 2012. This adds to the group’s other six units.
