The Goring Opens St Moritz-Inspired Winter Ski Bar

St Moritz Ski Bar at The Goring

To get in the winter spirit, The Goring—the famous luxury hotel situated near Buckingham Palace in London—has imported some Old World alpine glamour for the season. The hotel recently opened the St Moritz Ski Bar on the terrace, channeling the look and vibe of the legendary Swiss ski resort. Think sheepskin throws, tables made from wood sleds, twinkling lanterns, and décor fashioned from antique skis.

On the menu: the same Swiss canapés offered at Badrutt’s Palace, coupled with craft cocktails served by waiters wearing vintage sweaters and ski gear. The soundtrack adds to the ambience; jazz tunes are played over a gramophone. This week, the head bartender at the Renaissance Bar at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, Andrea Delvo, has been shaking up cocktails alongside The Goring staff.

The St. Moritz Ski Bar will be open at The Goring from 6 pm every evening until the end of February 2016. Reservations are not required.
