Palm Beach is heralding another chapter in the life of the storied hotel built by railroad tycoon Henry Flagler in the late 19th century. As reported by the Sun-Sentinel, The Breakers Palm Beach is in the midst of a $13 million renovation project. The Flagler Club concierge level is currently being converted into a private boutique hotel, which will offer an exclusive “hotel within a hotel” experience. There will only be 25 rooms and suites, equipped with sumptuous marble bathrooms and king beds with PranaSleep adjustable bedding.
Guests will be privy to special perks like a free pressing service, meals at the club lounge, and chauffeured airport transfers. Guests will also get access to Ocean Fitness, the vast 24-hour fitness center which opened at the end of 2014. The Flagler Club is scheduled to reopen in October.
In addition, The Spa at The Breakers is getting a makeover. Designed with 17 treatment rooms, the 20,000 square-foot destination will reopen in November with a new hair salon and menu for children’s spa services.
