Villa Alegria in Anguilla blends Tuscan architecture with chic amenities. Located just a short stroll away from the Sandy Point beach, a popular swimming and snorkeling hot spot, guests at Villa Alegria will be treated to some spectacular views of the mountains of nearby St. Martin, as well as of the Caribbean Sea.

Note: This home is only offered as a full four-bedroom villa and it books quickly. It uses both its indoor and outdoor space, with an array of porticos, courtyards, outdoor baths and built-in banquettes.

Villa Alegria has four master bedrooms, three with king-size beds and one with two full beds, plus a media room that can convert to a fifth bedroom. Note: Two of the king bedrooms are on the main level—the super master with private outdoor shower and Jacuzzi, and one enclosed in a private, slightly separate guest house. Nice Touch: All of the bedrooms have private balconies or terraces that open to the outside. Hint: Alegria sleeps eight people comfortably, but larger parties can be accommodated, and cribs and roll-aways can be provided for children.

Complimentary daily housekeeping and concierge services are standard at the villa. The villa’s housekeeper, Angelina, and knowledgeable on-call concierge, Michelle Owen-Vasilis, are beloved by guests and frequently complimented in customer reviews.

Hint: For even more luxury, Owen-Vasilis will engage one of the island’s professional chefs to create a one-of-a-kind culinary experience at the villa as a private chef, or arrange the guests’ choice of decadent in-villa spa services. Nice Touch: On arrival, all VIPs are met with a welcome basket with refreshing drinks and light snacks. The staff can also pre-stock the kitchens with groceries, as well as arrange childcare by experienced babysitters.

For any special requests, travel advisors should reach out to Concierge Owen-Vasilis ([email protected]; 264-235-8492).

VIPs can sunbathe or refresh with a swim in the huge infinity pool with jetted Jacuzzi. Cozy chairs, sofas and inviting chaises beckon guests to relax. The spa-like bathrooms also have premium fixtures and rain showers.

The gourmet kitchen offers a selection of stainless steel appliances, with covered and al fresco dining areas perfect for casual and formal entertaining.

Alegria offers its own indoor, air-conditioned fitness room with a treadmill, elliptical trainer, as well as assorted hand weights, yoga mats and equipment.

Clients can fly into Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA). Tip: As an alternative, many guests choose to fly direct into St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM), then take a 20-minute cab ride to Marigot Ferry Terminal on the French side, St. Martin, then a 25-minute public ferry ride to Anguilla’s Blowing Point Ferry Terminal. However, we suggest chartering a private boat. Most companies will meet guests at the airport with a sign, and escort the guests to the airport’s aqua dock on the Dutch side, where they will board the boat and travel to Anguilla’s Blowing Point Ferry Terminal. Booking a round trip fare can save guests money.

Tip: Private jets also land at AXA but are subject to size restrictions. There are private jet charter companies that are experienced in flying in and out of Anguilla.

Managed by West Coast Villas, Sandalo is a five-bed standalone villa on the gorgeous Gibbs Beach. It’s great for clients looking to celebrate with families, or small groups in a tucked-away, secluded section of Barbados.

The Master Bedroom is situated on the upper level of the main house with its own private balcony offering breathtaking views of the pool and the turquoise sea. It has a super king-size bed and is elegantly and tastefully furnished with lots of local artwork. Also, it has its own en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet and private stairway down to the pool and beach.

Four bedrooms are upstairs in the main house, mere steps away from each other, while the cottage is separate from the main house and would be ideal for teens and grandparents. Four of the en suite bathrooms have double sinks, while two of those in the main house have tubs. Note: Sandalo has a seasoned butler with years of experience in the service industry.

The Tryall Club has 87 unique private villas available for rent in Montego Bay, Jamaica, but Luxury Travel Advisor selected its top three to help you with the difficult task of narrowing down the best option among these chic, trendy villas.

Note: Weddings are one of the primary reasons you should be booking a villa here. The Tryall Club has several locations that are beautiful backdrops for ceremonies, including the gazebo, Great House and golf course (after hours). Hint: For a more intimate ceremony, couples can get married next to the historic waterwheel, which was used during the 18th century when the property was a sugar plantation. The still-functioning waterwheel trickles water along the ancient aqueduct that moves across the resort’s championship golf course hole No. 7.

Nice Touch: Candlelit areas of the living room add to the sense of being in a very special place, while an unobtrusive underwater motif adds character to the room.

Rose Cottage, a six-bedroom villa, sits quietly on a plateau, affording mountain and ocean views. Designed by Nancy D. Maffasanti in the traditional Jamaican style, the house is decorated in an elegant arrangement of themes influenced by Asia, Jamaica and Europe.

Rose Cottage has two lavish swimming pools, both perfect for a late night dip or an evening cocktail. Note: The Tryall Club’s villas are staffed with a housekeeper, butler, gardener and personal chef.

Advisor Insight:

“Booking a villa is a great option for a lot of different situations—families, groups, guys/girls getaway, or even when a little private romance in your life with your partner is needed,” says Ryan Mielke of Regency Travel, Fort Lauderdale, FL. “Some of the best villas I’ve seen firsthand are in Barbados; they combine luxury with modern amenities, making it a win-win for any potential client. Some people are scared by the ‘sticker shock’ of booking a villa, but when you break down the price day-by-day and what it includes, it’s usually a great deal [keep in mind most villas can come with a butler and cook]. When booking villas, it’s great to look at locations that are close with their culture; smaller, more intimate islands are great because you’re never too far from the locals.”
