2014 Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship

The ninth Golf Championship will see Jamie Donaldson face four of the world’s top 11 players - Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson, Justin Rose and Luke Donald - and the European Tour’s hottest young talent - Matteo Manassero - when he defends the Falcon Trophy.

Bonus: Guest staying at any Abu Dhabi hotel from January 16-19 get free tickets to the championship. Red Bull Air Race

The opening round of the seven-race Red Bull Air Race World Championship will take off over the UAE capital’s Corniche. Twelve daredevil pilots )including reigning champion Paul Bonhomme of Britain) will race in high-performance planes navigating an Air Gate pylon obstacle course at speeds of up to 370km/h.

Cavalia at Qasr al Hosn

A lavish production with 41 horses and 36 riders, aerialists, acrobats, performers and musicians from all over the world, Cavalia at Qasr al Hosn will onstage from February 22 to March 1 as part of the Qasr al Hosn Festival.

Starring 11 different horse breeds (including Arabian, Pure Spanish and Miniature), Cavalia takes place under a white, big top giving the horses ample room to perform with their trainers and artists. 

This multi-disciplinary production was created by Normand Latourelle, a co-founder of Cirque du Soleil, and has been seen by more than four million people across North America, Europe and Australia. This new production has been adapted to reflect elements of the UAE culture and is the first show of its kind to be performed in the region.
