According to a recent article, the Dallas-based department store is nearing a deal to open a flagship store at Hudson Yards, the mega-development currently under construction on Manhattan’s West Side.
The company is reportedly negotiating with developer Related Cos. to anchor the Hudson Yards’ 1 million-square-foot retail complex, slated to open in 2018, with a store that could span upwards of 200,000 square feet. (The Post did emphasize that no one at either Neiman or Related was able to comment on the record.)
While we wait to see if Neiman Marcus sets up shop on the (far) West Side, we can still drop in at Bergdorf-Goodman, which is owned by the same company.
New York's fashion retail scene may also get another major debut: Last month, rumors began buzzing that Manhattan may get its own branch of the iconic London department store Harrods, but that the company was still looking for a site.
