Will Neiman Marcus Open a New York Store?

Heads up, shoppers! The New York Post is reporting that Neiman Marcus may soon set up shop in Manhattan.

According to a recent article, the Dallas-based department store is nearing a deal to open a flagship store at Hudson Yards, the mega-development currently under construction on Manhattan’s West Side.

The company is reportedly negotiating with developer Related Cos. to anchor the Hudson Yards’ 1 million-square-foot retail complex, slated to open in 2018, with a store that could span upwards of 200,000 square feet. (The Post did emphasize that no one at either Neiman or Related was able to comment on the record.)

While we wait to see if Neiman Marcus sets up shop on the (far) West Side, we can still drop in at Bergdorf-Goodman, which is owned by the same company.
