California Dreaming: La Costa Resort and Spa Revamps

Tucked into green foothills of Carlsbad, California, just north of San Diego, La Costa Resort and Spa has just revealed its design renovations on its  guest rooms and suites.

Celebrating an updated "La Costa Look" the new rooms feature a slew of muted hues echoing the surrounding landscape including cobalt blues, creamy terra cottas and slivers of "Day Lily gold."

KSL Resorts, which bought the property in 2011, has infused the property with $150 million, introducing fabrics into its guestrooms that pick up the quatrefoil pattern of fountains throughout the property and furniture.

We love the look of the swaying palms, birds of paradise and of course the garden pools, but be sure to check out the new oversized soaking tub, and the La Costa Coco Manga spa amenities.

Other hot new features include outlets adjacent to the beds and desks for cell phones or laptops, reading lights at the beds, and two desk chairs in most rooms for easier in-room dining.

Those on the prowl for relaxation and repose will dig the 43,000 square-foot spa, which includes a Clubhouse with a fitness center.

We've heard the restaurants are downright delcious too: be sure to check out Legends Bistro and BlueFire Grill, all of which are linked by walkways.
