Shenzhen, China Welcomes St. Regis

October 13, 2011 By: Meagan Drillinger

Shenzhen, China, is in for a shot of luxury at the end of this year when Starwood unveils the new St. Regis Shenzhen.

The new luxury hotel will sit perched atop the 28 floors of the Kingkey 100 building, a steel-and-glass tower that is helping to shape the city's skyline. The hotel will offer 257 guest rooms and 40 suites.

We hear the top floors of the tower will feature signature restaurants and lounges, but our favorite is the spa on the 75th floor with indoor pool and birds-eye view of the city.

Dining options with include Tian Gong, an intimate Chinese restaurant; Social for all-day dining; Elba, serving up Mediterranean fare; and The St. Regis Bar and Drawing Room. Oenophile alert: If you like a fine wine, we suggest checking out Decanter on the 100th floor, which will have a wide menu of world-class wines.

Gentlemen looking to relax with whisky and a cigar can head up to the penthouse level to visit Malt and Library.
