News from Monaco: Groupe Monte-Carlo SBM has a new Director of Hotel Operations. In his new role, Luca Allegri supervises operations for the four hotels, spas, and 36 bars and restaurants that comprise Monte-Carlo SBM resort. He also now oversees the group’s development abroad. Previous Director Michel Sabot, now retired, worked to expand Monte-Carlo SBM beyond the Principality’s borders with the Jawhar Marrakech project and the Monte Carlo Beach Club Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi.

Luca Allegri comes from the legendary Hotel de Paris in Monaco where he served as General Manager since October 2007. Trained at Cornell’s famous hospitality school, Allegri went on to work at Four Seasons Hotels and the world-famous Plaza Athénée in Paris. He was voted “Best Hotelier 2010” by Leading Hotels of the World.

Besides staff training, so that Monte-Carlo SBM has true “ambassadors of its savoir-faire,” one of Allegri’s top priorities is maintaining the resort's excellent quality of service-- that is increasingly personalized for each guest.
