Coworth Park Celebrates Polo with Lessons & Special Perks

Heads up, sports fans: Coworth Park, a country house hotel and spa of Dorchester Collection in the UK, is celebrating polo season with new themed offerings and the chance to learn the sport at the 'Guards Polo Academy at Coworth Park' with expert Andrew Hine, former captain of the England Polo Team.

Players and fans alike can head up to the Berkshire property to learn and train with Hine and play with members of the world's most famous polo club. (For the record, Hine is the only player to have both captained and managed the English national team, based at Coworth Park.)

This season, Coworth Park is offering a range of polo lessons and polo days from beginners to more advanced players. An hour-long private lesson can be booked from $203, with a course of five lessons from $952, while group lessons (three people or more) cost from $190. Upon request, the property can arrange for bespoke polo experiences for individual clients and instructional chukkas (polo games) are available for the more serious player. For younger players, Coworth Park offers smaller mallets for children, allowing everyone of all ages to enjoy this noble sport. Preferential rates are offered for guests of Coworth Park and Guards Polo Club members. Guests must be over ten years of age.

And there are plenty of perks for those who would rather watch the sport than play it: New this season is Coworth Park's polo-inspired cocktail menu which includes the "Modern Julab," inspired by the founders of polo in ancient Persia, and "Under the Neck," a brand-based drink named after the most difficult shot in the game.

Guests staying at Coworth Park during polo season can take advantage of the latest "A Royal Life at Coworth Park" package. The package includes an exclusive look and first-hand opportunity to live like a Royal, including a riding or polo lesson; accommodations in two rooms for two nights; a customized tour of Windsor with carriage rides and picnic lunch; afternoon tea for a family of four; and more Royal experiences.
