Mandarin Oriental to Open First Hotel in Vietnam

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group currently operates 31 hotels and residences in 21 countries and territories, with 16 new properties under development. One of these is the newly announced Mandarin Oriental, Saigon, which will open in 2020. This will be Mandarin Oriental’s very first hotel in Vietnam.

Situated on the upper floors of Union Square Saigon, a commercial building currently under renovation in central Ho Chi Minh City, the luxury hotel will have 227 guestrooms and suites. Facilities will include six restaurants and bars, meeting and event space, a gym, a Spa at Mandarin Oriental and an outdoor swimming pool.

In other recent news from Mandarin Oriental, the group will end management of the Las Vegas hotel on 30 August 2018. Last but not least: the iconic Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London is showing off a new spa this month—equipped with 13 individual treatment rooms and a Bastien Gonzalez Pedi:Mani:Cure Studio—as part of a dramatic renovation project that’s scheduled to wrap in June 2018.
