Looking for the next top tropical getaway? Six Senses Zil Pasyon in the Seychelles is set to open this coming October on Felicite Island, 30 nautical miles northeast of Mahe. The Felicite is a French word that denotes bliss, and we think that travelers will have nothing but a blissful stay on this island, which boasts both a mountainous terrain and excellent swimming and snorkeling spots — with chances to swim with turtles. Tip: There will be plenty of space on the prime beaches, since Zil Pasyon will be the only resort on the island.

In total, the resort will house 30 villas and 17 private residences to accommodate travelers. The residences are located on the top of the island with 360-degree views and also include two swimming pools and a fully equipped kitchen. Visitors who want to soak in those stunning sunrises and sunsets will want to book a villa. There are 15 of these on the east side of the island, facing Marianne Island, Petite Soeur and Grande Soeur Island. (These are the villas with the amazing sunrise views.) Likewise, the 15 villas on the west side of the island include vistas of La Digue and Praslin Island and, of course, the sunsets.

We hear that dining on Felicite will be a festive affair with six distinctive eateries and bars to choose from. Want to taste a local dish? If so, we advise trying Island Café, which will offer breakfast and dinner dishes based on the Seychellois spice route. It will be a mixture of European, Asian and African fare. And Six Senses fans rejoice, the resort will include the Six Senses Spa Zil Pasyon, complete with a hammam, sauna, saltwater pool, steam, yoga platform and nail bar. Getting There: Zil Pasyon will organize transportation to and from the island. Choose from either a 20-minute helicopter ride or relax on a 90-minute boat trip from Mahe.
