Monaco to Host Two Running Competitions

If your clients love the New York City Marathon, suggest they visit Monte Carlo for the second Monaco Run later this month. Two-and-a-half thousand runners will take part in the Run on a range of courses throughout the intimate Principality, according to the Riviera Times.

Taking place on Sunday, March 18, participants will choose between a 10-km run in the Principality or a cross-border half-marathon that leaves the Italian city of Ventimiliga and follows the coast line along to Port Hurcule in Monaco.

Top tip: Over half of the runners will run the half-marathon that twists and turns through the towns of Menton and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin for a little less than 15 miles. The race begins at 9:45 a.m. in Ventimiliga.

The second option isn't as long, but seems a lot more fun: Runners can chose between competing alone and running the whole 10 kilometers (six miles) individually or running as a team of two in a relay race.
