We've heard that The Spare Room, a new bowling lounge in the Hollywood Roosevelt is downright debonair, offering a gleaming alley of pins amid high-end pints.
Designed by Studio Collective, one of three projects the boutique agency has envisioned at the Roosevelt, this sophisticated new sipping spot offers a vintage bar accented with brass and leather, as well as steamer trunk-esque tables, Art Deco lighting and a chalkboards displaying the handwritten drink menu.
Missing those strikes, spares or simply hurtling into the gutter?
Amp up your game with Evelyn Waugh’s Noonday Reviver: Guinness, gin and ginger beer.
For those who are hesitant to don communal bowling shoes, The Spare Room offers seriously stylish kicks hand-crafted by cobbler extraordinaire George Esquivel.
Bowlers can also play a rousing round of high-end board games like snakeskin-embossed Yahtzee or walnut-gridded Connect Four and be sure to take a peek at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre through the over-sized windows on the right before heading home to brag about your near-perfect, 299 game.
