Heli-Skiing Safari and Fondue at the Alpina Gstaad

The Alpina Gstaad

The ski season is in full swing in the Alps and luxury resorts like the Alpina Gstaad are pulling out all the stops with impressive offerings. (When it opened in December 2012, the Alpina Gstaad was the town’s first new-build five-star hotel in 100 years.) Ski safari, anyone? This clever package allows guests to visit three different Swiss ski resorts in one day, whisked by private helicopter between St. Moritz, Zermatt and the Matterhorn, with lift tickets included.

Like the sound of heli-skiing? The resort can also arrange heli-skiing adventures with experienced local guides, Glacier Adventures with a picnic, and Husky sleigh rides. After a day on the pistes, the Alpina Gstaad has some prime après-ski spots including a Michelin-starred restaurant, a cigar lounge, a chic lounge & bar and a Six Senses spa. It’s possible to arrange a private fondue dinner in the resort’s gazebo, prepared by Executive Chef Marcus G. Lindner.
