Far Niente and Nickel & Nickel Offer More Private Wine Tastings

Napa Valley’s Far Niente and Nickel & Nickel wineries are introducing a series of new private tasting experiences. The seated 60-minute tastings are available for two to eight guests and are hosted by a wine professional.

Private Estate Tastings and Private Cave Collection Tastings

The Estate Tasting offer guests the chance to taste a collection of four wines from Far Niente and its family of wineries. The Cave Collection Tasting focuses on Far Niente’s aged Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon library wines. The wines have been chosen from the limited Cave Collection library, along with current releases. There are six wines offered in the Cave Collection Tasting. Both tastings are held outside under the centuries-old cork oak trees in the gardens. Club members are able to reserve the nearby gazebo which offers views of the 19th century winery. Off-season tastings will be held indoors.

Nickel & Nickel Private Single-Vineyard Classic Tastings

For those in love with Cabernets, this is the tasting for you. This offer features a rotating collection of four 100-percent varietal, single-vineyard Napa Valley Cabernets. Guides will show guests how different grapes grown a few miles apart can taste completely different.

Nickel & Nickel’s Private Terroir Tasting

Offering some of the most exclusive wines, this tasting includes eight 100-percent varietal, single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons from Napa Valley. Wines are tried from north to south and include winery-exclusive tastings.

The Nickel & Nickel private tastings are held in either the back porch, the wine cellar of the historic John C. Sullenger House, or the 18th century Gleason Barn. Exclusive Private Single-Vineyard Classic Tastings for club members may be arranged on the second-floor overlook of the South Fermentation Barn – offering great view of the property and winemaking, especially during harvest season.

A traditional 90-minute Tour and Tasting experience with full guided tour of the winery, caves and barrel cellar at each property is also available but is not exclusive to a single party. Up to eight other guests are included in each Tour and Tasting appointment.

At both wineries, one fee is waived with each six-bottle purchase.  Fees are also waived with each wine club signup.
