Following an extensive multi-million dollar renovation, the andBeyond Matetsi River Lodge has reopened on its 123,500-acre private wildlife concession.
Situated along the Zambezi River, the lodge will be the most luxurious accommodations available in the area, including two camps of nine suites, a state-of-the-art gym, massage sala, conference facility, and 66-foot-long flow swimming pool.
Also on the property is the Matetsi River House, which is a private villa that holds groups of eight and includes four bedrooms, a kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining, a private veranda, swimming pool, and fire pit.
andBeyond offers guides for safaris that boasts its own zebra, giraffe, elephants, lions, and buffalo. Occasionally, cheetah, leopards, hyenas, and antelope are sighted.
Guides will also bring guests to Victoria Falls, a World Heritage Site, complementary of a stay of at least two nights, where they will explore trails, visit the Livingstone statue, and enjoy a decadent high tea at the Victoria Falls Hotel.
The first camp opened August 1, with the second set to open in September.
