Luxury Destination Weddings & Honeymoons 2020 Experience Series
Travel Agent University

A Perfect New Beginning. Selling weddings and honeymoons show tremendous potential for 2021 and beyond. Consider the grand weddings that were downsized to backyard events this summer and all of the honeymoons not taken because travel was not possible. If travel opens up again in the near future, travel advisors should be ready to deal with newlyweds with a tremendous, pent-up demand to finally take their big trip. What will these trips look like? Some couples may want to still take a relaxing, sun and sand vacation to celebrate their nuptials, but they are certainly assuming you’ll be able to add unique activities in to the trip so they’ll be able to come home with great stories to tell their friends. Other couples  want nothing to do with the traditional honeymoon. They’re seeking to go where none of their friends have gone before. They’ll be pondering whether to go somewhere in to the depths of Africa or perhaps an undiscovered town in Eastern Europe. Learn more now.

GoldenEye in Jamaica Offering James Bond-Themed Package
Bookable now through December 19, 2020. | GoldenEye

The 25th James Bond movie, “No Time To Die,” is heading back to Jamaica and will mark Daniel Craig’s final appearance as 007. The island has played an important role in the films, from its star turn in “Dr. No” to its use as a filming location for “Live and Let Die.” In honor of the movie’s release on November 20, 2020, Ian Fleming's GoldenEye in Jamaica is offering a package to experience the birthplace of the greatest spy series.

Highlights of the “Ultimate James Bond Experience” includes a guided snorkeling tour through the reef, and visit to Firefly, Noel Coward’s former hilltop home where the author spent many afternoons. Additionally, the four-night package includes:

  • Accommodations in a stand-alone Hut, Villa or Cottage—each with a private entrance
  • A visit to Firefly, the former estate of playwright Noel Coward and rumored to be Captain Morgan’s lookout (transportation and cocktails included)
  • A guided snorkeling excursion through Fleming’s reef
  • A bottle of Bollinger champagne, featured in many of the Bond films and novels
  • A copy of “GoldenEye: Where Bond was Born” by Matthew Parker and signed by Chris Blackwell
  • A tour of the Fleming Villa (pending availability)
  • Daily breakfast for two and a complimentary welcome flask of Blackwell Rum

All guests of GoldenEye will be able to enjoy the James Bond outdoor film series offered every Thursday this fall leading up to the release of “No Time to Die.” In addition to complimentary popcorn, cocktails like the GoldenEye, using Chris Blackwell's new 007 limited edition Fine Jamaican Rum, as well as the Scotch Bonnet Margarita with chilies grown at Pantrepant (the property's farm), will be available for purchase.

Fleming, a former British intelligence officer, discovered Jamaica during a World War II mission in 1942. Four years later, he purchased 15 acres of under-developed tropical land and named it GoldenEye to pay homage to his naval operation that first brought him to the island. He resided at the property each winter for more than two decades and wrote a new Bond novel each winter (for a total of 14 books). Today, the property is owned by Chris Blackwell, the founder of Island Records, who made the likes of Bob Marley and U2 household names. Fleming’s villa, where his original writing desk still stands, remains available for overnight stays.

Package rates start at $2,630 for four nights; bookable now through December 19, 2020.

Available now through July 17, 2020 in North America and until July 22, 2020 for international markets, the July sale will offer a $500 onboard credit, which can be used for specialty dining, shore excursions and more.

Travelers booking from North America will also receive the same onboard credit in addition to a 50 percent reduced deposit. • Azamara Quest’s 12-Night Baltic & St. Pete Voyage – Departing July 11, 2021, from Copenhagen, the ship will have a late night in Warnemünde, Germany before setting sail to the 1,000-year-old port city of Gdańsk, where travelers will have an opportunity to stay overnight. Additional highlights from the itinerary include Visby, Sweden—home to the Ring Wall constructed in the 13th century—and Helsinki, Finland, where travelers can discover the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before the sailing concludes in Stockholm, guests will have two overnights in St. Petersburg, Russia.
  • Azamara Pursuit’s 14-Night Black Sea Intensive Voyage – Setting sail on June 26, 2021, and again on July 20, 2021, Azamara guests will have the opportunity to experience the Country-Intensive Voyage, visiting 10 ports, with seven late nights and two overnights. Beginning in Athens, the ship will journey to the recovered Greco-Roman city of Ephesus before cruising through the Bosphorus Strait. Additional highlights of the itinerary include cosmopolitan Varna, Bulgaria, foodie-friendly Constanţa, Romania and Odessa, Ukraine.
  • Azamara Pursuit’s eight-Night Dalmatian & Amalfi Coasts Voyage – Guests will embark in Venice, Italy, on August 20, 2021, with another Country-Intensive Voyage before arriving in Pula, where a visit to the Roman Amphitheater is a must. Additional highlights include a late night in Dubrovnik, followed by Kotor, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities.

All bookings made with the sale apply to Azamara’s enhanced Cruise with Confidence program, providing flexibility to change any sailing booked by August 1, 2020.
